Righty. I'm sure I'm not the only one clueless in (some) household domestic matters, so I figured maybe we could have a Q&A for tips and suggestions and little-known oddments of ideas.
So. I need help.
My spare bed reeks of cigar/cigarette smoke. A friend borrowed it for six months while they had visitors (who smoked heavily and in bed), and being smokers themselves, they never noticed the smell. Now that we've got it back, it's disgusting. It's stinking out half the house, and no amount of airfresheners seem to be working.
So how do you get stale cigarette smoke out of soft furnishings like mattresses?
